NHNA Pool Rules
All persons using the pool do so at their own risk and NHNA, Inc. assumes no responsibility for injury or damage resulting from such use. The responsibility of parents and/or adult members who accompany children to the pool continues while the children are in or near the pool.
The following rules and regulations are for the protection and benefit of all users of the pool facilities and are designed to assure safe and sanitary operation of the pool. Please be reminded to share these rules with all family members and guests.
Pool Hours: 11:00 AM to 8 PM (Sun-Thurs) & 11 AM to 9 PM (Fri-Sat, Holiday Sun.)
- Pool hours may be changed or shortened if NHNA Board of Directors or Lifeguard deems necessary.
- The last fifteen minutes of each hour there will be a break for the lifeguard on duty. At that time, adult swim will be called. All persons 17 years of age and under must clear the pool unless accompanied by an adult.
Age Limits
The minimum age to gain entrance to the pool and grounds is 10 (ten) years old unless accompanied by an adult member, regardless of swimming ability. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! All swimmers over the age of ten must have demonstrated swimming ability to the satisfaction of the lifeguard before they are allowed to remain at the pool without parental supervision.
Guests
- Residents of North Harbor, who are not members, will not be allowed entrance into the pool area, regardless if accompanied by resident member.
- Houseguests and other NH guests are allowed only when accompanied by a NHNA member.
Pool/Clubhouse restrictions
- Clubhouse is strictly off limits at all times except restrooms.
- Lifeguard will not guard wading pool for small children. No child may be left alone in wading area. All children using the wading pool are to be supervised by parents/guardian.
- No pets allowed in pool area or clubhouse.
- No bicycles, skateboards, razor-type vehicles, rollerblades/skates are permitted in the pool area, clubhouse or clubhouse deck.
- No climbing on lifeguard stand.
- No sitting on or pulling of deep end ropes.
- Tobacco products are not allowed around pool area.
- Food and can/plastic bottle drinks are allowed, but individuals must clean up the area upon departure.
- Absolutely, no running or pushing in pool area.
- Any NHNA, Inc. Permanent member who has failed to pay the yearly dues will not be allowed to use the facility until membership dues have been paid. (Lifeguards will have a list to verify all people using the pool are current members.)
- Any person found to violate these rules will be subject to discipline deemed appropriate by Lifeguard or Pool Chairperson.
NOTE: Defacing or destroying NHNA, Inc. property is subject to a fine and/or suspension of pool privileges. The minimum fine shall be the cost to repair any damages. The Lifeguards are totally in charge of the pool and clubhouse area during pool hours. They may exercise this authority in connection to the interpretation of the above rules to cover any situation that might arise. Any major dispute will be referred to the pool chairperson for resolution, who has final say in such matters. Until resolved, the decision of the Lifeguard is binding.

- Children under the age of three, or older if not potty trained, must wear a swim diaper with one of the following: swim pants, plastic cover pants, or a suit with a swim pant liner. Children under the age of four who are potty trained must wear a swim pant under their suit or a suit with a swim pant liner.
- To ensure availability of the main pool, children under the age of three or children who are not potty trained will be limited to the use of the wading pool 24 hours prior to any major planned events such as large scheduled parties (e.g. annual fourth of July party).
